The app is designed to be used for quick reference and quick decision making. In addition, you can compare different refrigerants and choose the one you think will work best in your system based on the properties presented.
The app includes a pressure-temperature converter and a refrigerant data slider.
The p/T converter can be used to calculate the pressure and temperature of a given amount of refrigerant in the system.
The pressure-temperature converter is based on the following formula:
p = P - (Px - Px0) × Σ (ΔP/ΔT)
In this equation, Px and Px0 are the actual pressure and the pressure at which the fluid is at its coolest or warmest, respectively.
The amount of refrigerant in the system is calculated by measuring the temperature of the fluid in the system and then converting the temperature into a corresponding amount of refrigerant.
The app also includes a table with all the physical properties of the different refrigerants.
